OVER the last fortnight our readers have been nominating the top six gyms in Stroud, and for the next week we’ll be profiling each of them so you can choose the Stroud News & Journal Best Gym 2021 winner.

The second fitness facility we’re featuring is the week is Crossfit Nidus in Stonehouse, which husband and wife Matthew and Aneta Tucker have owned since January 2019.

Mathew said he’s happy to be reopening after a challenging year in lockdown, with the business closed for nine of those months.

“I’m pretty sure other gyms are in exactly the same situation though so it’s one of those things you can’t really complain about.”

“But it’s just great to be opening and getting everyone back in.”

After finding out they had made the last six contestants, Matthew said: “I’m really flattered. It’s just amazing to have something like that.

“Our priority has always been making sure that our members are happy.” “It’s just amazing to have people recognise that.”

“It would be mean an awful lot. I think it would be a reward for the work that we put in and the sacrifices we made.”

If you think Crossfit Nidus deserve to be crowned the best gym in Stroud, you can vote for them using a coupon from this week’s newspaper (June 30) or last week’s (June 27).

Simply send the coupon to the address listed in the paper or leave it with your gym of choice when you arrive for your next session.

Voting closes on July 11.
