A POPULAR canalside café in Stroud has been granted permission to serve alcohol.
Following a successful licensing application, The Lock Keeper's Cafe, located at Wallbridge lock, is now serving a range of drinks, including draught San Miguel and prosecco, by the glass, or by the bottle.
Cafe owner Harry Counsell said: "We have a limited selection of bottled ales and cider. Draught San Miguel is available.
"We will be serving a selection of red and white wines and of course prosecco in a single serve or by the bottle.
"A few bubbles, sat in the sun by the canal, what’s not to like?"
Harry and his team took the cafe over a year ago and serve everything from good coffee and luxury cakes to traditional breakfasts and home cooked lunches.
