A NAILSWORTH chef has transformed a horse trailer into a pizza business.

Rob Targett came up with the idea for Box Kitchen after the events catering company he was managing was hit hard by the pandemic.

He decided to go back to what he does best: making great food, by hand.

Rob, began by restoring and converting a rusting vintage horsebox into a beautiful kitchen equipped with a top of the range wood fired oven.

And he now serves delicious organic sourdough based wood-fired pizza from his converted vintage horse trailer outside Nailsworth Library on Fridays from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.

"We use fresh and local ingredients wherever we can, and go the extra mile when it comes to creating truly delicious flavours," said Rob.

"We have vegan and gluten free pizza options, so whatever your dietary requirements, we have you covered."

As well as pizza, Box Kitchen is offering tasty and nutritious seasonal salad boxes, chocolate fudge brownies, and homemade tiramisu.

Rob is one of the people behind Severn Vale Community Kitchen, which has delivered thousands of meals and food boxes to people’s doors throughout the pandemic in conjunction with charities and community groups in the GL11 area.

He said: “It’s a beautiful summer, restrictions are easing up, and I’m loving doing my bit to making people’s Friday evenings that much more relaxing and enjoyable.

“I would like to extend huge thanks to Nailsworth Town Council for their support.

“Nailsworth is a fantastic place to be and I feel lucky to live here and trade here.

"With a baby on the way as well, it feels great to be part of the community.

"Looking forward to seeing you on Friday evenings in town.

"Please show your support and come and say hello.”

Box Kitchen Pizza is also available to hire for private parties, wedding, and events.
