Extra summer holiday activities are being provided for children in the Stroud district.
Swimming sessions, Forest Green Rovers tickets, and visits to Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Cattle Country and Berkeley Castle are all being offered free-of-charge.
Additional funding has been made available so that more children will have the opportunity to take part, although the scheme is limited to one activity per family.
The activities are being funded by the Community Outbreak Management Fund, as a direct response to the difficulties many families face during the Coronavirus pandemic.
They were arranged following the popularity of Stroud District Council's Holiday Activity Fund for children who are eligible for free school meals.
“We understand and know all too well that the last 18 months have been hard for so many families in the county,” said Councillor Chris Brine, chair of Stroud District Council community services and licensing committee.
“I am pleased that we are able to offer more children more free activities during the summer holiday.”
