A car crashed into an electricity pole on the A419 at Thrupp this morning.
The incident occurred near the junctions of Brewery Lane and Hope Mill Lane at around 9.15am.
The road was closed for several hours and there is still heavy traffic in the area.

Power lines have been brought down as a result of the crash, which left hundreds of nearby homes without electricity for around an hour.
A Gloucestershire police spokesperson confirmed one person had been checked over by an ambulance crew, but that nobody was believed to be injured.
