RESIDENTS and families have rated a Dorset business as one of the top 20 mid-sized care home groups in the UK.

The reviews guide carehome.co.uk recognised the highest-rated groups among the 18,000 care homes in the UK.

Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager of carehome.co.uk, said: “It is a huge achievement to be named as one of the Top 20 care home groups in the UK by the residents and their families who have first hand experience of the care being given.

“Our awards, which celebrate the excellent care given by care home groups, show that Care South provides high quality care throughout its homes, and we would like to congratulate it on being a top care home group.”

Simon Bird, chief executive of Poole-based Care South, said: “We are delighted to have been named as one of the top 20 mid-size care home providers and to have our 16 homes recognised as some of the very best in the UK.

“These awards are so important to us as they are selected based on the reviews of our residents, their families and friends, and we really appreciate the time people have taken to pass on their positive experiences that our teams across all our homes provide every single day. This award is also testament to our wonderful teams and their hard work and ongoing commitment to providing food, fun and friendship across all our homes.”
