THE skies over Stroud will once again be ablaze with colour to help raise funds for dozens of good causes.

Rotary Five Valley Fireworks is on Monday, October 25 at Marling School playing fields in Cainscross Road, Stroud (GL5 4HS) - gates open at 6pm with fireworks starting at 8pm

The Rotary Clubs of Stonehouse, Stroud and Nailsworth are once again organising the largest professional charity firework event across the Five Valleys and beyond.

Meet BBC Radio Gloucestershire’s Mark Cummings, who will lead the countdown.

Rotary have organised this ever-popular, family friendly charity event for circa 30 years.

The amazing firework display is designed and choreographed to music by ex-British firework champions of champions Star Fireworks.

Attractions also include the locally based John Coneleys Fun Fair, a variety of food, drinks and this year under 12s will be entertained free of charge by the renowned Southwest Punch & Judy entertainer John Harvey prior to the firework display.

Advanced tickets are £8 (adults) and £4 (under 12s) with on the gate entry price at £10 (adults) and £5 (under 12s).

John Jeynes, one of the organisers, said: “In these Covid times we would prefer payment at the gate by debit or credit card although there will be a cash desk operating.

“All profits go to support good causes and charities with at least half directed towards young people in acknowledgement that the event originally started over 60 years ago at Ebley Children’s Home.

“This year’s event will support All Pulling Together, the Door, Willow Trust, Shrubberies School & Apperley Centre, Nelson Trust, Great Western Air Ambulance, Gloucestershire Young Carers and Rotary Community Awards. We are grateful to all the businesses who sponsor us without whose support the event would not be possible.”

Benefits of a £100 standard sponsorship package are having your business advertised on the Rotary 5 Valleys Fireworks website, a banner displayed on the night and four free tickets.
