South Wales Argus:

Callum Welch

Drug dealer Callum Welch, 23, hired his own mother-in-law into his gang and paid her to store, cut and package cocaine.

He recruited 53-year-old Lorraine Anthony into the profitable criminal enterprise he was running in Newport.

Welch was jailed while Anthony received a suspended prison sentence.

Jack Saunders

Learner driver Jack Saunders, 19, reached a speed of 113mph as he led police on a chase.

He tore through hospital grounds at 40mph, narrowly avoided crashing his Ford Fiesta into other vehicles and ignored red lights.

The teenager, from Pontypool, admitted dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

Saunders was locked up for 10 months.

South Wales Argus:

Liam Collins

Liam Collins rammed a police van when he started chasing it after earlier driving dangerously around a McDonald’s car park.

The 33-year-old caused mayhem in Pontypool and Cwmbran and had smoke coming from the tyres of his Audi A3 at one stage.

Collins, who has 32 previous convictions for 103 offences, was jailed for 12 months.

South Wales Argus:

Shane Holder

Shane Holder robbed an elderly woman after he grabbed her handbag and ripped her mobile phone from her hand when she was knocked to the ground.

His victim suffered “agonising pain” after she fell to the floor following the attack in Abergavenny.

He committed the offence whilst on court bail for terrorising three teenagers seven months before on the town’s Old Hereford Road.

Holder, 25, of Underhill Crescent, Abergavenny, was jailed for nearly four years.

Kaine Kerr

A drug dealer didn’t stop trafficking cocaine despite being told off by his wife when she found out what he was up to.

Kaine Kerr, 30, from Caerphilly, should have listened to his better half after he was locked up at Cardiff Crown Court.

After police seized his iPhone during his arrest, they found a message from his wife expressing her concerns.

Kerr was jailed for 33 months.

South Wales Argus:

Lee Ball

Lee Ball robbed a man out for a summer’s day walk, threatened to smash a security guard’ s face in and was caught with a dagger.

The 38-year-old went on the rampage in Newport.

Ball, who has 38 previous convictions for 73 offences, was jailed for 32 months.
