A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Newport Magistrates’ Court and Cwmbran Magistrates’ Court.

KEELAN READER, 26, of High Street, Blaina, was jailed for 20 weeks after he pleaded guilty to the criminal damage of an Audi A3 car on September 26 and being in breach of a community order.

He was ordered to pay a £128 surcharge after his release from prison.

DECLAN COLLEY, 18, of Crown Lane, Pontllanfraith, was banned from driving for 16 months after he pleaded guilty to drink driving with 60 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath at Pen-y-Fan Pond, Blackwood, on September 26.

He was ordered to pay £379 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

OLIVER HERBERT, 19, of Thornwell Road, Chepstow, was banned from driving for 12 months after he admitted drug driving with a cannabis derivative in his blood on Bedford Road, Newport, on February 4.

He was ordered to pay £185 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

AARON DAVID PRITCHARD JONES, 26, of Tor y Crug, Rassau, Ebbw Vale, was banned from driving for 14 months after he pleaded guilty to drink driving with 54 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath and driving without insurance on St James Way, Tredegar, on September 25.

He was ordered to pay £735 in fines, costs and a surcharge.

KELLY WILSON, 44, of George Lansbury Drive, Newport, was banned from driving for six months for driving without insurance on Two Locks Road, Cwmbran, on February 12.

She was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

ANDREW POPE, 53, of Harcourt Street, Ebbw Vale, was banned from driving for 13 months after he pleaded guilty to drink driving with 48 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on Merthyr Road, Llanfoist, Monmouthshire, on September 24.

He was ordered to pay £419 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

CHRISTOPHER HETHERINGTON, 34, of Heol Fawr, Nelson, Caerphilly, was banned from driving for six months after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

He was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

SARAH CLARKE, 34, of George Lansbury Drive, Newport, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after she failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

Her driving record was endorsed with six points.
