A 43-YEAR-OLD man who spat at a policewoman in an area of Stroud town centre from which he is banned has been jailed
Ben Holloway admitted assaulting a PC by spitting and breaching a criminal behaviour order by entering an exclusion zone in Stroud on Tuesday, November 9.
Holloway, of Westward Road, Ebley, was sentenced to eight weeks in jail when he appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court.
Magistrates said the offences merited immediate imprisonment because of the spitting and the breach of an order imposed in April 2019.
He was given eight weeks in jail for each of the two offences to run concurrently and must pay a £128 victim surcharge.
