A 45-year-old Stroud woman has been convicted of indecently exposing herself, making a menacing phone call to the police and assaulting a man.

Katherine Botchett, of the Old Common, Chalford, failed to attend Cheltenham Magistrates' Court for her trial on the three charges last month.

She was found guilty in her absence and magistrates issued a warrant for her arrest and detention pending sentence.

Botchett had denied that on December 9 last year she assaulted a man by beating, called the Gloucestershire police control room threatening to stab or slit the throat of a neighbour and intentionally exposed her genitals to cause alarm or distress.
