Ahead of Friday’s Stroud Goodwill evening, many road closures will be in force around the town.
Aside from Fawkes Place, these road closures will be in effect from 5pm to 9pm as Stroud gathers to celebrate its Goodwill evening, which you can read about in more depth here.
Here are the road closures in full:
High Street – for its total length of 184m.
Bedford Street – for its total length of 48m
King Street – for its total length of 79m
Kendrick Street – for its total length of 113m
Threadneedle Street – for its total length of 61m
Swan Lane – for its total length of 60m
John Street – for its total length of 90m
George Street – for its total length of 108m
Russell Street – for its total length of 116m
Rowcroft – for its total length of 134m. Taxis will be permitted access in order to enter and leave King Street Parade and to access the train station and Station Approach.
King Street Parade – for its total length of 46m. Taxis will be permitted to access King Street Parade via Rowcroft. Temporary barriers will be put up around the road area of King Street Parade to prevent pedestrian access onto the road apart from to enter a waiting taxi.
London Road – between Brunel Mall to junction with Russell Street – for a total length of 162m.
Fawkes Place – for its total length of 18m (between 00.01 and 21.00)
Barriers will be placed at the beginning of Rowcroft, King Street and London Road
