A body was discovered on a disused railway, with police cordoning off the scene whilst investigations take place.
A statement from Gloucesteshire Constabulary read: "Police were called with a report of the discovery of a body on the Honeybourne Line, Cheltenham, at around 10.20am today, Wednesday."
"Cordons are in place while officers attend the scene. Investigations are at an early stage while detectives determine the circumstances surrounding the death."
Police have not released any more information at this time.
