TEN delighted families have received new household appliances, thanks to Stroud furniture bank and a council grant.
With funds from Stroud District Council, the furniture bank were able to deliver white goods to those struggling and living without essential household items like a cooker, washing machine, or fridge and freezer.
The families and individuals had been referred to Stroud District Furniture Bank by professionals such as P3, Barnardos, Clean Slate, and Family First.
Stonehouse domestic appliances retailer, John Kerry & Sons, supplied the items at a discounted rate.
A spokesperson from the furniture bank said: "With a grant from Stroud District Council, we were able to help ten families and individuals access brand new household appliances with the help from John Kerry & Sons.
"These families and individuals were referred to us by professionals such as P3, Barnardos, Clean Slate, Family First.
"If you would like some help then get in touch and I’m sure they will be able to point you in the right direction."
