STROUD Seatery, a place where you can meet friends, listen to music and enjoy a community connection has been extended until the end of September.

Based in the Cornhill marketplace every Wednesday from 11am to 2pm, the Seatery was started by local volunteers during lockdown to provide a place where people could safely meet.

It has also become a popular rehearsal space for local music groups including Rodborough Folk Orchestra and UkeStroud.

It is supported by Stroud Town Council and the Chamber of Trade, with thanks to Stroud District Council.

“With the better weather, the Seatery should become even more popular,” said town councillor Adrian Oldman.

“It’s a wonderful space where you can meet up, enjoy a picnic or takeaway and listen to great music or just enjoy chatting.”
