A STROUD cafe owner is hosting special meet-ups for people who'd like a bit of company in a friendly setting.
Claire Cappell, who runs the Little Ginger Deli and Cafe on Kendrick Street, has organised two weekly gatherings, which are open to everyone.
"The last two years have been really tough on people living on their own, especially new people who had moved to the area just as lockdown hit, " said Claire.
"And there's lots of people needing a bit of companionship and empathy at the moment.
"At Little Ginger it has been lovely to be able to connect some regular singles who come in for a coffee and a chat with each other - hopefully forging friendships.
"With that I mind we would like to invite anyone who feels they would benefit from a regular meet up and conversation to come into the deli on Tuesdays, from 10am to 11am and Thursdays, from 3pm to 4pm.
"We will have a table reserved, and coffee and cake will cost just £4.99.
"Just turn up and enjoy a bit of company in a warm inviting environment with people who care."
