A NEW jewellery shop has opened recently located next to the town centre.
Heather Coleman, who grew up in Berkeley and has lived in Stroud for 12 years, opened a jewellery store in Gloucester Street, next to the town centre.
At the store, Ms Coleman - an ex-engineer who retrained at the world renowned Birmingham Jewellery School - designs and sells jewellery, all handmade on site.
She also does cleaning, repairs and one-to-one jewellery making lessons.
"So far the response has been great," says Heather Coleman.
"Even if they're not buying, people have been popping their head round the door to say good luck and how much they love the window display.
"It can be a bit quiet down this end of town, but that's fine because if it was too busy, I wouldn't have time to actually make the jewellery.
"What has been a surprise though, is the interest in my repairs service.
"I'm delighted to be able to give old treasured pieces a new lease of life."
