Stroud man's £400 bill after dropping cigarette butt
A STROUD man must pay more than £400 for dropping a cigarette butt.
Dan English, aged 36, of Slad Road, Stroud, appeared in court last month after dropping a cigarette in Eastgate Street, Gloucester in November.
This was in contrary to the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
The case was proved under the single justice procedure at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, April 21.
English was handed a £220 fine and must also pay £165 in costs plus a £34 victim services surcharge.
In total, English must pay £419 by Monday, May 19.
