THE FIVE Valleys Shopping Centre have introduced measures to crack down on vandalism and shop lifting.
As part of this crackdown pedestrians in Stroud are advised that the Bath Street entrance to Five Valleys Shopping Centre is now closed.
The closure of this entrance is necessary due to the ongoing developments of the medical centre and also to strengthen the security of the centre.
Jessica Derham, Centre Manager at Five Valleys, said: “Unfortunately due to a number of shoplifting incidents we’ve had to review our centre security and closing the entrance on Bath Street will reduce the occurrence of these.
“Accessibility to and around our centre is paramount to us and we are pleased to announce that the passenger lift is now fully fixed and back up and running with the centre also investing in additional CCTV to prevent further acts of vandalism.”
Pedestrians can still access the shopping centre from the King Street entrances and the multi-storey car park.
