Bristol Harbour Festival returns this summer with its first event since before the pandemic. The event will mark its 50th anniversary with live music, circus acts, food, markets, performers and ships.
Nine performance areas will span one and a half miles of the city, based in the streets and squares around Bristol’s historic floating docks, celebrating community collaborations as well as emerging and established creative voices.
Taking place from July 15 to July 17, there will be performances by Dazee, Black Roots, Doreen Doreen, Cirque Bijou with a circus and street theatre for families, and Trinity Community Arts dancing.
For the first time, Albion Dockyard will also be open to the public for free all weekend with volunteers welcoming visitors to the 540ft-long Grade-II listed dock for unique views of the working harbour.
The Bristol Harbour Festival is produced by Bristol City Council, with support from Arts Council England.
