A STROUD man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of up-skirting.

He has since been released from custody on bail and will return to police next month.

Police are now appealing for women to come forward if they believe they have been victims.

Two women were approached in Gloucester yesterday Tuesday, June 28, say officers.

A man approached two women in the Hempstead area of Quedgeley. The first happened shortly before 11am, and the second shortly before 1pm.

The first incident occurred around 11 am, when a man approached a woman on foot and took a photograph up her skirt. He then offered to buy her used underwear.

The second incident occurred around 1pm, when the same man approached a different woman and asked to buy her underwear while driving a dark grey VW Passat at a slow speed.

The man was described as being white, with a pale complexion.

He had dark brown or black hair, styled with a short fade on the sides and the top swiped up.

He was clean shaven, aged in his 20s, of a slim build, and between 5ft 8ins and 6ft in height.

He was wearing a black crew neck sweater which was long sleeved with black polo top underneath. The sweater had a company logo on which was red/orange colour.

The police say that incidents like this often go unreported and are keen to hear from anyone who may have information that can help.

They are asking anyone who may have witnessed these incidents or who have experienced similar ones themselves to contact police, particularly in the Quedgeley, Hempstead, and Stroud areas.
