POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Stroud
Emergency services were called to a report of serious collision on the A46 towards Stroud yesterday (Tuesday, October 11).
A collision occurred between a car and a pedestrian at around 10am near to Salmon Springs outside of Stroud.
Road closures were put in place but have now all been lifted.
The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 80s, has since been taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol to receive treatment for her injuries, which are deemed serious.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the pedestrian in the area around that time, and who hasn't yet spoken to police, to contact them.
Anyone with dashcam footage or information that they feel may be relevant are also being asked to make contact.
