KEY workers in South Gloucestershire can now receive a deposit contribution of up to £15,000 towards a new home thanks to Barratt David Wilson Homes’ new Key Worker Deposit Contribution scheme.

The housebuilder has introduced the scheme at its developments in South Gloucestershire including Morton Meadows in Thornbury, Ladden Garden Village in Yate and Merlin Gate in Newent.

Key workers in South Gloucestershire will be entitled to a deposit contribution of £750 for every £25,000 spent and they can receive up to the value of £15,000.

For example, when purchasing a £300,000 home, Barratt David Wilson Homes will contribute £9,000 towards the deposit.

The scheme has been introduced to thank key workers in South Gloucestershire for their enormous contribution to the country.

Barratt David Wilson Homes’ new scheme will cover key workers from the NHS, teachers, police and fire services, the MOD, prison and probation services, plus Local Authority employees and Highways England.

Louise Ware, sales director for Barratt David Wilson Homes South West, said: “At the start of the pandemic we launched a NHS Deposit Contribution scheme, but we now want to open this up to every key worker in South Gloucestershire, and indeed the entire country, as a thank you for all their work.”

Barratt David Wilson Homes South West is currently building properties at a number of developments across South Gloucestershire that are available with the Key Worker Deposit contribution including Morton Meadows, Ladden Garden Village and Merlin Gate.
