THE TEAM at Five Valleys shopping centre has reviewed its car parking arrangements and simplified its tariff system in response to customer feedback.

From Saturday (April 1) the centre will be removing its evening tariff and instead setting a simple hourly tariff starting from one hour, priced at 80p, moving up to 24 hours running Monday to Saturday.

Monday – Saturday
Up to 1 hour      £0.80p
Up to 2 hours    £1.40
Up to 4 hours    £2.10
Up to 6 hours    £3.00
Up to 24 hours £6.00

These tariffs will roll over each day avoiding any possible confusion between day and evening charges.

Five Valleys have also changed their Sunday tariff from 8am to 5pm to an all-day tariff with a roll over in place.

This means that customers can park all day on Sundays for £1 not having to worry about returning to reapply a ticket to their car at 5pm.

Stroud News and Journal:

Customers using the car park can pay by cash or by card at the Pay and Display machines located on levels 2 ,3, 5, 7 ,9 and outside the new medical practice entrance on the top deck of the multi-storey car park.

Customers can also pay via the Phone and Pay app and a tutorial on how to use the app can be found on the Five Valleys website.

Also in response to customer feedback, the centre has added further to the ample signage that’s displayed across the site to make customers aware they have 20 minutes from arriving to pay for their parking.

Jack Simpson, Centre Manager at Five Valleys, said: “We are always grateful to receive feedback from our customers and hope the new arrangements demonstrate that those comments have been heard.

“I am confident these small changes to our parking system will work well for our visitors and form part of a number of positive changes I’m currently rolling out to keep improving that visitor experience to our lovely centre.”

The centre is busy planning a summer full of events and live entertainment with more announcements to come soon.

Parking terms and conditions at Five Valleys apply every day to vehicles arriving at all times including on Bank Holidays.
