A MENSWEAR shop located in Stroud town centre will close in the next few weeks.
Cordell's, which for the last three years has been located at the Five Valleys Shopping Centre, will shut its store in the next few weeks.
The menswear store, which also has a shop in Monmouth, posted last night on various Stroud Facebook pages about the upcoming closure.
A spokesperson said: "It’s with a very heavy heart that we sadly announce that we have decided to close our Stroud store.
"The store will close within the next 4-6 weeks and all items are now reduced.
"We advise anyone with gift vouchers or store credit notes to pop in within the next few weeks.
"We would like to thank our many loyal customers who have supported us and look forward to seeing you at our Monmouth store in the future."
A spokesperson for Dransfield properties, who owns the Five Valleys Shopping Centre, said: "We have enjoyed working with Mark and the Cordell’s team for the past three years and wish them well with their Monmouth store.
"We are speaking with several interested parties regarding the vacant units at Five Valleys and hope to make further announcements soon."
This comes in the same week that a To Let sign appeared in the window of a Stroud town centre business.
Four Seasons, based in Threadneedle Street, opened as a fruit and vegetable shop selling locally-sourced produce in 2020.
According to a document released by Hawkins Watton, a new lease is available at the property, with rent around £24,000 per year.
