A FEARSOME looking knife has been seized by police in Widnes.
Officers from Cheshire Police confiscated the knife and bolt cutters following reports of a burglary in the early hours of Friday morning.
Three men were arrested in the Halton View area and taken to custody, with officers recovering the items on them or nearby.
The force’s Widnes Police team said: “C-block response turned out early in the shift to reports of a burglary in the Halton View area.
“Three men are now in custody for various offences, and the pictured items were recovered from their person or near to where they were arrested.”
The arrest was praised by residents on social media who commented on the size of the knife and the damage it could do, given its size and serrated edge.
