A RISING STAR from Bussage showcased his remarkable talent last weekend at round seven of the Global Karting Championship.
Competing in his first outdoor national-level season - held at the challenging GYG Circuit in North Wales, ten-year-old Freddie Turner faced a brand new track under the unpredictable weather conditions that plagued the weekend’s event.
Despite the tricky mix of damp and wet track conditions during practice, qualifying, and the races themselves, Freddie powered through with a masterful performance.
Impressively, he secured 2nd place in both of his races, further strengthening his position in the championship.
While his championship rivals faltered with mixed results, Freddie’s consistent success kept him firmly on the podium.
The weekend’s double 2nd-place finishes extend Freddie’s extraordinary streak of podium results, which dates back to Round 2 of the GKL Championship.
With two wins, two second-place finishes, and two third-place finishes under his belt.
As the championship heads into its final two rounds—at Fulbeck in Lincolnshire on October 5-6 and Buckmore in Kent on November 16-17—the stage is set for an exhilarating finale.
Freddie’s debut season has been nothing short of spectacular, and with everything still up for grabs, he remains a serious contender for the title.
Looking ahead to the 2025 season,
Freddie is already preparing to take his karting career to the next level.
He is actively seeking sponsorship to support his racing ambitions and help drive his development in future championships.
