A STROUD man committed an assault and also smashed crockery and damaged a window and bathroom door belonging to the victim.
Jake Kirton, aged 42, of Chasewood Corner, Bussage, assaulted the man in Stroud on February 21 this year.
He also destroyed the man’s window, crockery and bathroom door to the value of £70 on the same date.
Kirton pleaded guilty to common assault and causing criminal damage and was sentenced at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on Thursday, September 19.
Kirton was given a community order lasting until March 18, 2026.
This involves mental health treatment and a requirement to abstain from consuming alcohol for 120 days.
He must also pay £70 compensation plus £85 costs and a £114 surcharge.
