WORKS to repair a Stroud road which has been causing chaos for motorists recently have been delayed.
Last week the SNJ reported on Thursday that repair works were beginning to assess the damage on London Road at Bowbridge.
Last week the area witnessed multiple days of traffic mayhem with traffic crawling along Westward Road, Cashes Green Road, Cainscross Road, Dudbridge Hill and Bath Road on Wednesday, October 16.
Repair works for the A419 in Stroud started on Thursday following investigations beneath the carriageway.
The repair works have now been delayed amid further investigations.
A post by Gloucestershire Roads read: "The A419 Bowbridge repair works are delayed, following further investigations beneath the carriageway.
"The temporary lights will remain in place for safety, controlled at peak times to aid traffic flow.
"Apologies for delays and for any inconvenience caused."
