Stuart Dredge, of The Price of Music podcast, said: "This hasn’t been done before, and this is why it’s so interesting.
"Even if you’re not in Gloucestershire, there's something interesting there."
The report highlights the industry’s £8 billion annual contribution to the UK economy and explores critical themes such as ticketing, grassroots venues and the rise of artificial intelligence in music.
It draws on a countywide survey of audiences and artists, supported by interviews with sector leaders including Jon Collins of LIVE and Jonathan Brown, chief executive of STAR.
Additional insights come from Gloucester Guildhall, Thirsty Pine and Cheltenham’s Frog and Fiddle.
