Gloucestershire County Council has announced temporary closures on Lynch Road and Sturmyes Road to allow new telecommunication poles to be installed.
On Lynch Road, the affected stretch runs between Side York Cottage and Willow Cottage, covering around 180 metres.
On Sturmyes Road, the closure will run between Willow Cottage and Field Cottage, a distance of about 115 metres.
Both roads are expected to be shut from 9am on Friday, August 14, until 4pm on Monday, August 17.
The council says that if the work is not finished within that window, the legal order allows the closures to remain in force for up to 18 months, although they would only stay in place for as long as needed to complete the job.
Pedestrian access to homes on or near the closed sections, and emergency vehicle access, will be maintained throughout.
Alternative routes will be signed on site for drivers needing to pass through the area.
