A BUSINESS with more than 500 branches in the UK is set to open in the town next week.
Located at Lower Wharf Industrial Estate in Stroud, the store will open on Monday, August 31, becoming the latest addition to the company’s network of more than 580 UK outlets.
The opening has created seven new jobs and aims to serve both tradespeople and DIY enthusiasts with a wide range of tools, materials, and building supplies.
Toolstation Ltd, a nationwide subsidiary of Travis Perkins, specialises in power tools, hand tools, fixings, decorating materials, heating and electrical supplies, workwear, and other building and DIY products.
The site, just off the canal, was previously occupied by Dougfield Plumbing Supplies until 2025.
Sam Brown, store manager, said: "We're excited to open the doors to our new Stroud store.
"Our attention to customer service and the knowledge of our colleagues, combined with a quick and convenient shopping experience, will hopefully make the tradespeople of Stroud consider Toolstation their first stop in the morning.
"With stores open from 7am Monday to Saturday and 9am on Sundays, it will keep us front of mind when their day begins."
Customers can choose from more than 25,000 products, including well-known brands such as DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita, Wessex, Kärcher, Leyland, and Flume.
Orders can be placed online or through the Toolstation app, with Click & Collect available from the Stroud store within five minutes of ordering.
Tradespeople who join the Toolstation Club can enjoy a five per cent discount on all orders during their first month of membership.
The new store is open from 7am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm on Saturdays, and 9am to 4pm on Sundays.
