Gloucestershire County Council will begin carriageway resurfacing works on Friday, September 11, affecting parts of the A419, Oldends Lane, Bristol Road and Sperry Way.

The rolling programme is expected to continue until September 23, although signs on site will confirm when individual closures and restrictions are in force.

The works will affect the A419 between Nastend and Chipmans Platt Roundabout, sections of Nastend Lane, the Oldends Lane Roundabout, Bristol Road, Sperry Way and Oldends Lane.

No stopping, waiting or loading will be allowed while the works take place.

Drivers are advised to follow signed diversion routes and allow extra time for journeys.

Pedestrian access to properties and emergency access will be maintained.

In Minchinhampton parish, Hampton Fields Road is due to close from Wednesday, September 9, until Friday, September 11, for Severn Trent Water works.

A separate closure is planned at Lower Littleworth to St Chloe Mead in Amberley from Tuesday, September 22, until Tuesday, October 6.

The 20-metre closure, between Ash House and Mill End Cottage, will allow repointing and rendering work on a cottage wall.

Unlike the other schemes, emergency access will not be maintained at the Amberley closure because scaffolding will make the road too narrow.

Pedestrian access to properties will remain available.

The council said all dates are subject to change.
