A 71-year-old woman who was seriously injured in a serious crash has now been sentenced in court.
Amanda Webbing-Dean, of Orchard Mead, Nailsworth, was driving a Honda on the A419 near Swindon when she was involved in a crash on February 23.
The 71-year-old crashed into a Citroen C4 around 3pm, in an incident which closed down the A419 southbound for over three hours and sparked a mass emergency response.
Two appliances were sent to the scene of the crash, and hydraulic cutting equipment was used to extract a casualty from one of the vehicles.
Webbing-Dean was rushed to hospital with several broken bones, including a broken collarbone, while the driver and passenger of the Citroen received minor injuries.
Seven months on, the pensioner has now been sentenced for driving without due care and attention.

"She was driving her vehicle and was pulling out from a lane onto the main A419, into the path of a Citroen," said prosecutor Mr Ballinger.
"She herself spent several weeks in hospital with a number of serious injuries."
Webbing-Dean, who has no previous convictions and no previous points on her licence, pleaded guilty to causing the crash by careless driving.
She was not represented in court by a lawyer.
Speaking directly to the magistrates' bench, she said: "I know that it's my fault.
"Not that it makes any difference, but it's a notoriously bad junction.
"I don't remember anything other than a bang and then I ended up in hospital."

Chair of the magistrates' bench, Mrs O'Connell, concluded: "There had been an unsafe manoeuvre."
Webbing-Dean was fined £80 with a £32 surcharge and £85 in court costs.
She must now pay a total of £197 and has been given four penalty points on her driving licence.
The A419 reopened around three hours after the serious crash.
