police are appealing for information after an assault in Barton Street yesterday.
A 14 year-old boy from Lydney was attacked by a group of offenders as he left Europe Food at around 5.30pm on Wednesday, August 11.
It is believed between seven and nine Asian males were involved in the assault and that a bat, bottle and golf club were used during the incident.

Gloucester Chief Inspector Rich Burge said: “We understand that residents will be shocked and concerned by this incident so neighbourhood officers will be keeping a high presence in the area and seeking to providereassurance and answer any queries local people may have.
“I would also like to reassure the community that this type of incident will not be tolerated and that we are determined to locate the offenders.” A 37-year-old man from Gloucester was arrested last night on suspicion of grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident.
