ZARA Phillips and England rugby star Mike Tindall have announced they will marry on Saturday, July 30, in Edinburgh.
Miss Phillips, 29, who formerly attended Beaudesert School near Nailsworth, and Mr Tindall, 32, have chosen Canongate Kirk on the Royal Mile as the venue for the ceremony.
The announcement of their engagement in December came just weeks after Prince William and Kate Middleton revealed their wedding date as April 29.
The sporting couple, who used to live in Minchinhampton, met during England’s rugby world cup-winning campaign in Australia in 2003 when they were introduced to each other by Zara’s cousin Prince Harry.
Iain Balshaw, who was also part of the same victorious squad, is reported to be Mr Tindall’s best man.
