STEVEN Pace admitted drink driving and driving without third-party insurance at Stroud Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 1.
The charges relate to an incident in Osprey Drive, Stonehouse, where Pace was pulled over by officers around 4.30am on January 6.
A breath-test revealed he had 40 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35.
Defending himself, he called his actions ‘stupid’ and added that he had lost his job since an interim driving ban was placed on him after his first court appearance on January 23.
Pace, aged 19, of Bath Road, Rodborough, was disqualified for 12 months and ordered to pay a £50 fine with £20 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
