A 21-YEAR-OLD Stonehouse woman remains in hospital in a stable condition following a fatal collision in Quedgeley which killed a motorcyclist from Stroud.

The collision happened shortly before 9am on Saturday on the A38 and involved a lorry and a black Kawasaki motorcycle.

The motorcycle was being ridden by a 43-year-old man from Stroud who was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman from Stonehouse, who was riding pillion, was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.

The lorry driver – a 47-year-old man from Taunton, Somerset - was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed to return to Gloucester police station on January 11, 2013. Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are asked to call 101, quoting incident 103 of October 20.
