BROTHERS specialising in outdoor heating products celebrated the opening of their new showroom with champagne and pizza fresh from a BBQ oven.

Cotswold MP Geoffrey Clifton-Brown joined the launch of La Hacienda’s showroom with a toast congratulating John and Simon Goodwin, directors of La Hacienda, on doubling their turnover and staff in the last five years.

“I wish you all the best for the next 25 years, by that time you will have quadrupled,” he said.

As he declared the warehouse officially open, he said he would do his best to push for more government funding for local rural businesses.

Based within the company’s office and warehouse facilities on Aston Down Airfield, the showroom will showcase the company’s full product range, including chimeneas, garden decor, multi-function outdoor ovens and firepits.

John and Simon grew up around the Stroud valleys, establishing the company 25 years ago distributing goods to retailers in the UK.

La Hacienda products are now found in more than 35 countries worldwide.

The family-run company, with 40 employees, has seen turnover growth, bucking the wider economical trend as the recession took hold.

La Hacienda will be on the Ideal World Shopping Channel on Saturday, March 28, demonstrating the BakerStone pizza oven, which cooks a pizza in four minutes.
