Nailsworth & District Flower Arrangement Society

LINDA Seabrook NAFAS Demonstrator, and florist from Daventry in the South Midlands was our host for the evening.

Linda’s title for her demonstrations was “Seasons Greetings”.

Her first arrangement containing some cleverly arranged orange lanterns, spray roses, and carnations on a base of hostas, red willow and black bamboo with a few artificial pumpkins set the scene for Halloween.

Linda then made a second arrangement of some engineered poppies, vibrant red gerberas, and alstroemeria creating a theme for "Armistice".

With an arrangement using trailing stephanotis, pink hydrangea, and carnations white roses and lizianthus Linda made a pretty design which was appropriate to a wedding.

Continuing with her wedding theme Linda then made a two tier wedding cake decoration in red and white using white orchids red carnations, roses and anthiriums.

An elegant arrangement in a basket containing bamboo, buddleia, rosemary, lace cap cabbages with cream orchids and yellow roses was her fifth design.

In total contrast for her final arrangement Linda created a period design using some ferns, and beautiful vintage yellow roses together with apricot coloured carnations and mini gerberas.

Tickets were on sale for the Members Supper on November 1, and for the ever popular Christmas Open Evening at Wycliffe College, Stonehouse on Wednesday, December 13.
