Oakridge WI with talks on physiotherapy and The Scilly Isles

WE HAVE had two excellent speakers recently, in June, Jenny McLaughlin's talk on physiotherapy was most interesting and gave food for thought, especially being split in to two groups to discuss subjects which were pertinent to women as a whole.

Very interesting matters were discussed some with a good deal of hilarity.

July brought Brian Bailey to speak to us, with wonderful slides on The Scilly Isles, this was by popular choice, and differed from his original proposed talk.

Brian and his family lived on St Agnes, for a total of eight years before returning to Gloucestershire.

As there will be no meeting in August, a planned visit to The Woodchester Vineyard has been confirmed.

Orders were taken for Calendars and diaries for 2019.

Don't forget the WI cakes and preserves stall at the Village Fete in September, details from posters around the village, and the What's On Magazine!

Dates for your Diary.
