WE WERE all mostly present for our early October meeting at Cainscross, although we did receive apologies from Dot Brunning, Jean Horsfall and Kate Parrott.

We also welcomed a few visitors, who we hope may join us for next year.

Linda was thanked for her lovely mauve table flowers and also updated us on the finances available.

We discussed some correspondence received and details of the forthcoming Christmas Party scheduled for Tuesday, December 4, starting at 7pm for which booking is needed.

Before that, on Tuesday, November 6, we have our AGM, followed by a talk by Patrick Howell of Cotswold Players, which I am sure will be most entertaining.

The competition will be for a Christmas treat to eat!

With business concluded, we watched a good demonstration of bookbinding by Anne Weare, who also brought along some examples of her work for us to examine and purchase if wanted.

Anne makes some lovely notebooks and also re-binds books if requested to do so.

She sells some of her workmanship at local exhibitions and more will be coming up in 2019.

We finished, as usual, with refreshments and the raffle and the announcement of the winners of the monthly competition as :-

First - Mary Jarrett

Second- Linda Foreman

Third - Margaret Adams

We meet for all meetings at 7.15pm at St Matthew’s Church Hall, Cainscross, on the first Tuesday of the month, although for the beginning of January 2019 we have decided, for one month only, to meet on Tuesday, January 8 since the first Tuesday falls on New Year’s Day.

New members or visitors are always very welcome to join us and for more information on any of the above please call 01453 762812.
