Leonard Stanley Wine Circle celebrate Christmas
WE ALL enjoyed our Christmas meal at The George, Frocester, which again provided excellent food and service.
True to form, the ladies turned up in ‘sparkling’ attire and the men did their best to wear something red – this all helped to set the atmosphere.
Entertainment was by Mathew Sproston who accompanied by his ukulele sang a variety of songs and ditties and also got us singing along including Knees up Mother Brown and Hokey Cokey.
A big thank you especially to Eric and Julia who got there early and made sure that everyone was made welcome and enjoyed themselves.
It was great that Chris Camm was able to celebrate her ‘special’ birthday with us on her actual birthday date.
Our next meeting will be on January 30, when we will celebrate Burns Night in the Wine Circle’s traditional way.
We are sure to have a full house for this ever popular annual event.
