STROUD and Stonehouse Rotary Club held a joint Community Awards evening (Monday, January 21) at The Imperial Hotel, Stroud.
The evening was introduced by Stroud president Mike Lambert who welcomed all four recipients from Stroud:
Stroud Town Council Defibrillators, Sheral Gardner awarded £500 towards the upkeep of The Stroud Defibrillator Project.
Stroud CAP Debt Centre, Sue Pearson awarded £500 to help the running of the centre.
Amberley Shop on the Common, Rosemary Bailey awarded £350 towards setting up a community shop.
Woodchester Endowed School PTA, Lynn Pennington awarded £250 towards repainting the school community hall.
The Stonehouse president Mike Shillitoe welcomed five recipients from Stonehouse:
Arlingham Victory Hall, Linda Shaw awarded £300 towards the purchase of a defibrillator.
Frampton on Severn Community Association, Jim Ball awarded £300 to restore play equipment.
King's Stanley Playgroup, Harriet Peglar awarded £300 for new equipment.
Stonehouse Community Centre, Mary Coates awarded £300 towards running the centre.
Stonehouse Gardening Club, Clive Boardman awarded £300 towards new equipment.
