THE Stuart Singers are a choir based in Minchinhampton, with 64 singing members.
We are run by musical director, Helen Sims and Barrie Cooper is our accompanist.
We sing to raise money for charities and have been going for over 25 years.
We’ve recently started a junior choir and are looking for new members, aged between 9-14 years old.
The Stuart Singers Juniors rehearse in Minchinhampton school hall on a Thursday evening during term time, from 6-6.45pm.
The Juniors are sponsored by Rover Coaches who cover costs for the rehearsal venue, which means that choir membership is free.
We would love to find new singers to join the junior choir, and anyone interested can contact Louise Cook who runs the junior choir (loucook77@hotmail.com) or via the Stuart Singers facebook page.
Last year the Stuart Singers broke the £250,000 mark for donating and fundraising on behalf of charities since we first started in 1995.
To date, we have raised £252,053.
In the last year alone we donated £3,275 to the following charities: The Hop Skip and Jump Foundation, Friends of Stroud Beresford Group, Citizen’s Advice Stroud, Amberley Guides, Best for Ben, Great Western Air Ambulance and Stroud and District Mencap.
