FURTHER to the recent story about porous dams, here is a picture I took on Wednesday, January 27, in Penn Wood, showing the water coming from a completely different direction.
If the Rural Sustainable Drainage Project had bothered to talk to local landowners, such as myself, I could have told them this was a waste of time and money.
Many healthy trees were felled and many more damaged by the machinery making dams that which do nothing to prevent flooding.
