JAMIE STEPHENS has been released by Liverpool.
The 19-year-old goalkeeper, who grew up in Wotton-under-Edge, has spent the last three years at the Premier League giants after signing from Swindon Town for an undisclosed fee, but the club have decided not to offer him a new deal.
Stephens, who played youth football for Wotton, Kingswood, Wickwar and Forest Green, made one appearance for Liverpool Reserves last season and spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Welsh Premier League side Airbus UK Broughton.
