FOREST GREEN chairman Dale Vince has tweeted his pleasure at the decision of Carlisle to provide a vegan option in the boardroom and on the terraces for today's match in Cumbria.
Last month, Carlisle's chairman Andrew Jenkins, who owns Pioneer Foodservice, which is renowned for its meat, said he couldn't bring himself to try the food on offer at vegan-friendly Forest Green.
Vince hit back and said it is only a matter of time before the meat trade is seen in a similar fashion to the slave trade.
However, the war of words is over as Jenkins offered an olive branch for today's clash.
Great news today ahead of our game with Carlisle. Brilliant in my opinion - https://t.co/yKBO3Dxdo4
