Tahvon Campbell was glad that he was made to be patient to earn a place in the starting XI as it made him hungrier.

Forest Green travel to Coventry City in the Checkatrade tonight with Campbell hoping to make it three consecutive starts.

Campbell has been pleased with his performances and feels he's taken his chance after biding his time.

"I'm really happy," said Campbell. "I like the fact that I had to be patient because it's made me more hungry to play. I've been given a chance and i think I've done well. I still have things to work on and grow the understanding with my teammates."

Rovers go into the game top of the group and could qualify for the knockout stages with a win and the former Baggies man has an eye on Wembley and insists the team are fired up for tonight's encounter.

"Every game we go out trying to win and with the Checkatrade it's and opportunity to play at Wembley so the boys are going to be up for it," he explained. "We've got a strong squad so whatever team's out there will be a threat."

Opponents Coventry won the competition in 2017. The following year they won again at Wembley to earn promotion to League One and Campbell feels it's something Rovers can draw inspiration from.

"What Coventry did was really good so if we can replicate that it would be great," he added. "They have a good side as well. I don't what kind of side they'll put out but it will be a good game."
