FOREST Green Rovers travel to Northampton Town on Saturday, looking to stretch their unbeaten start to 13 league games.

Rovers are sixth while The Cobblers currently lie in 22nd - just a point clear of danger but recently installed Keith Curle to turn things around at Sixfields.

A win could see Forest Green move up to fourth in League Two.

Here are all the details ahead of the game.

Opponent: Northampton Town Location: Sixfields Stadium Kick Off: 2pm

TEAM NEWS

Forest Green have no new injury concerns.

Joseph Mills missed the Checkatrade Trophy game in midweek as his partner gave birth to their son - Jesse.

Meanwhile, Northampton will assess the fitness of Daniel Powell after he was forced off against Oxford United in midweek.

They'll also be without Leon Barnett, Ash Taylor and Junior Morias who are also sidelined.

FORM GUIDE

12 games in and still no defeat for Rovers. They are still yet to be beaten in 90 minutes across all competitions (although have lost two penalty shootouts).

Forest Green have done better away from home having won three and drawn three of their league matches on the road, scoring 13 and conceding just six.

Curle's arrival at Sixfields has sparked an early upturn in results. He drew his first two league games against Bury and Swindon Town before beating League One Oxford United in the Checkatrade Trophy on Tuesday night.

In the league, they've gone seven without a win and won just one of their opening 12 games of the season. They also haven't won at home in any competition so far this term.

PREVIOUS MEETING

The two teams have only met once and that was in the FA Cup back in November 2010.

Northampton were 3-0 victors at the New Lawn with John Johnson, Steve Guinan and Michael Jacobs scoring for the Cobblers. Guinan subsequently joined Rovers on loan 20 days after.

MANAGERS VIEW

Mark Cooper said: "On paper they looked as though they had a really good squad and a lot of depth with good forwards He probably looked at the squad and thought he could do something. Looking at the defenders as well, I had Jordan Turnbull at Swindon and he's was outstanding, they've got Aaron Pierre, Leon Barnett and Ash Taylor so they have some good defenders as well.

"It didn't really happen for them under the previous manager. Keith's come in and steadied the ship and got some good results. As a manager you look at the players you have at your disposal and try and use them to the best of your ability and find a system that suits them, knowing Keith that's probably what he's done and thought the best way of steadying the ship is by playing that system.

"We're now looking forward to a good game, a big club in Northampton."

Keith Curle said: "We did the basics right at Oxford but winning one game doesn’t mean there is a platform in place and we are still laying down the foundations.

"There is a framework in place but we still need to earn the right to play the free flowing attacking football that we want.

"We want the supporters to be a part of what we are trying to do and hopefully they will enjoy coming on board with us.

"We want to include them on the journey we’re on and the more people who get on board the wave then the longer you can ride it.”

PREDICTED FGR LINE-UP

(3-5-2) - Sanchez, Digby, Rawson, McGinley, Shephard, Mills, Worthington, Brown, Winchester, Reid, Grubb

SNJ VERDICT

Northampton's lowly position may flatter to deceive. They have a new manager at the helm who they are yet to lose under and have just come down from league one and have some talented players in their squad.

Kevin Van Veen is a maverick player who brings flair and quality to their attack. He had a good spell in League One with Scunthorpe and is certainly a threat on his day. They also have the likes of John Joe O'Toole, Andy Williams and Dean Bowditch who are all vastly experienced in both League One and League Two.

Forest Green have picked up more wins away from home whilst also drawing (in 90 minutes) away at League One clubs in Wycombe Wanderers and Coventry City.

They played Notts County after they sacked Kevin Nolan and faced Crawley Town shortly after they appointed their new boss and won both those games so the players know how to stifle a team who have that new manager bounce.

Curle will have his team well organised while Rovers still haven't conceded more than one goal a game. It's could be a tight affair down in Northampton.
